This is a wonderful meditation for anyone feeling stressed with a lot on their minds, especially after the holidays. It is influenced by my Kundalini yoga training as I find it so effective and wanted to share with you. I also included a picture of me on my blog to give you a visual of the hand mudra I explain to form in this podcast. You can find my blog at http://ayuryogaspa.wordpress.com

Become aware of your spine, make it nice and tall.
Soften your face.
Soften your tongue.
Soften your eyes.
Cast your gaze downward or close your eyes completely.
Most importantly have no expectations here.
Before you start your day or right before you go to sleep, listen to this 5 minute Awareness meditation. It will bring you relaxation and help you start "drowning out the noises" that so often fill our minds. Namaste and please share this with those you think would benefit from this relaxing meditation. Part of resistance to meditation is not time.
It is about being afraid to look at your thoughts and feel what those thoughts bring.
Uncomfortable feelings are actually messages from your body that tell you something is off balance.
In this short podcast I teach you how to listen to messages from your body and how to how to deal with thoughts of stress, anxiety and pain. Knowing how to work on this will strengthen your mind, body and meditation.
Namaste,
Gina

Be aware of things around you. Notice your breath, notice nature. In this podcast, I talk about concerns that my students in Yoga classes and in private lessons have about meditating.
Don't push away uncomfortable feelings in meditation. Feelings are temporary and fleeting.
You have control over your thoughts and feelings. This is why we meditate, this is why we practice yoga.
Please enjoy and subscribe to my podcasts. You can also watch videos and more on Yoga and Ayurveda on my blog www.ayuryogaspa.wordpress.com
